Rubber tree no. 1

Being a fine artist, it would be disappointing to not provide an example of a piece of traditional art. This painting, Rubber Tree no. 1 is acrylic and oil on canvas. I started this piece only a few months after graduation, being uncertain of what my next steps in my career would be. I decided to take a chance on utilizing a bold pattern, inspired by curtains made for me by my grandmother, and a lanky rubber tree with bold and sporadic highlights. This piece remains one of my favorites, and hangs above my bed.
